Frequently Asked Questions

Classification

Class "A", "B", and "C"

The ATF has divided explosives into three basic categories: Class "A", Class "B", and Class "C".

  • For Class "A" a professional blasting license is needed. This class includes things such as dynamite and salutes.
  • For Class "B" a special license and training sessions must be obtained in order to purchase, own, and light these explosives. This class is made up of professional grade fireworks such as 3, 6, and 12-inch shells used at city and fair fireworks shows.
  • For Class "C" a special permit may be required by your village, town, or city. You should investigate this before buying fireworks.

Safe and Sane

  • Shower no higher then seven feet, do not project items, or explode with a report.
  • You still may not purchase Sane and Sane items until you are 18, with the exception of snap and pull string fireworks. We do not sell anything that has to be lit to minors.
